In this IMG activity, you define which characteristics of the configuration are displayed in the overview screen for sales document processing. These characteristics are then displayed in the "Configuration" tab page of the sales document. In this tab page, you can use the Characteristic display field to switch between the individual characteristic displays.
This enables to you to gain an overview of the characteristics for an item quickly and easily in the sales document. It is particularly useful for materials with relatively simple configurations or, if you are working with models, for materials with characteristics that frequently re-occur.
Caution The "Configuration" tab page is only displayed in the sales document if you have maintained the Customizing settings for the characteristic display. If no entries have been made in Customizing, the tab page is not displayed.

Activities
Define the name of the characteristic display.
Assign characteristics to it that should be displayed in the sales documents. Determine the column width of the display for each characteristic. The column width you specify here acts as a default value and can be changed later in the sales document.
Further notes
You can use the VAM parameter to determine the default characteristic display for a particular user.
