Use

In Classic RE, it is possible to specify object characteristics for buildings. You can define characteristics, characteristic groups, and characteristics (values) of object characteristics.
Object characteristics are no longer used in RE-FX. The characteristics you have specified for buildings are migrated to fixtures and fittings characteristics in RE-FX.

In this table, you specify which characteristics of object characteristics are converted. The system already proposed the following conversion: the characteristic groups are converted to classes of fixtures and fittings characteristics; as the key for the fixtures and fittings characteristic, the system proposes a number consisting of the object group, object characteristic, and characteristic of the object characteristic.

The following example demonstrates how this works:
In Classic RE, the following characteristics of object characteristics are defined in table TIV73. (The first number in the table below is the "group of the object characteristics" defined in table TIV74; the second number is the "number of the object characteristic" defined in table TIV72).
1 Floor
1 1 Flooring
1 1 1 Concrete
1 1 2 Jointless Flooring
1 1 3 Chipboards on Bearing Wood
1 1 4 Wood Flooring
1 2 Floor Covering
1 2 1 Tiles
1 2 2 Pine Felt
1 2 3 Parquet
4 Roof
4 1 Roof Construction
4 1 1 Shed Roof
4 1 2 Flat Roof
4 2 Roofing
4 2 1 Concrete Roofing Tile
4 2 2 Ceramic Tile
4 2 3 Sheet Metal Roof

The system then proposes the following conversion, whereby the fourth number is the key of the new fixtures and fittings characteristic:
GOC OBJ ATT Char Fixt/Fittings Characteristic
1 1 0 1100 Floor
1 1 1 1101 Floor: Concrete
1 1 2 1102 Floor: Jointless Flooring
1 1 3 1103 Floor: Chipboards on Bearing Wood
1 1 4 1104 Floor: Wood Flooring
1 2 0 1200 Floor Covering
1 2 1 1201 Floor Covering: Tiles
1 2 2 1201 Floor Covering: Pine Felt
1 2 3 1203 Floor Covering: Parquet
4 1 0 4100 Roof Construction
4 1 1 4101 Roof Construction: Shed Roof
4 1 2 4102 Roof Construction: Flat Roof
4 2 0 4200 Roofing
4 2 1 4201 Roofing: Concrete Roof Tiles
4 2 2 4202 Roofing: Ceramic Roof Tiles
4 2 3 4203 Roofing: Sheet Metal Roof

In the Char (characteristic) column, you can change the key of the fixtures and fittings characteristic. In the Fixt/Fittings Characteristic column, you can change the text (in your logon language). If you do not want to convert an object characteristic, then leave the entry for it blank. Or delete the proposed value for this characteristic.

In the Convert Customizing step, the system converts the following based on the settings you made here:

  1. Characteristics of object characteristics (Classic RE table TIV73)
During the migration, the characteristic values entered in this table are automatically created as fixtures and fittings characteristics. They are assigned to the group and class that corresponds to the fixtures and fittings object and the group of fixtures and fittings objects in Classic RE.
If you manually change the key proposed by the system, choose a new key that did not exist as a characteristic in Classic RE. You can most easily ensure that keys did not exist in Classic RE by using keys with at least four characters, or by using keys that contain at least one non-numerical character. If a key already exists for a fixtures and fittings characteristic, then the fixtures and fittings characteristic will be overwritten by the text defined here.
  2. Groups of fixtures and fittings characteristics (Classic RE table TIV74)
These are transferred to characteristic categories (table TIVAJRLRACHCT). The representative list of rents remains empty, therefore characteristic classes are independent of the representative list of rents (RLR).
  3. Fixtures and fittings objects (Classic RE table TIV72)
The entries from Classic RE are created in the new system as RLR-independent characteristic groups (table TIVAJCHCTGROUP).

If you entered object characteristics for certain buildings, then the conversion sets the corresponding fixtures and fittings characteristic for the building in RE-FX. This takes place in the Convert Application Data step.

Note:
The room types of Classic RE are also converted to fixtures and fittings characteristics. The system automatically assigns the prefix ROOM to these fixtures and fittings characteristics. To minimize the amount of manual effort, a mapping table is not used.
In the Convert Application Data step, the system creates a fixtures and fittings characteristic, containing the appropriate information, for each rental object for each information "Number of Rooms per Room Type."
