Use

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in Professional Tax Payroll India (PY-IN) component.

This BAdI enables you to customize the method in which the system determines whether professional tax must be computed for a specified employee, based on the number of days that the employee has stayed in Jharkhand.

This BAdi uses the To calculate the number of days the emp stayed in Jharkhand (CALCULATE_NO_OF_DAYS) method for doing this calculation.

This BAdI has the following parameters:

  • Importing parameters:
    • PERNR - Personnel Number
    • AB - Cluster RD/B2: Table AB
    • APER - Structure of table APER in payroll
    • PTX - Payroll India - Professional Tax
    • FLT_VAL - Molga (Filter Value)
  • Exporting parameters
    • ELIGIBLE - Eligible for Jharkhand PTax calculation

By default, in the standard SAP solution, this BAdI has the value X for the exporting parameter ELIGIBLE.

Requirements

Carry out this activity only if the following conditions apply:

  • The SAP standard processes do not suit your needs.
  • You are a competent ABAP/4 programmer.

Standard settings

In the standard system, the Business Add-In is not activated.

Activities

After calling up the IMG activity, a dialog box appears, in which the existing implementations are displayed. Choose Change, and proceed as follows:

  1. From the tab index, choose Interface.

    The Name of implemented class field is already filled on the tab page, as a class name was automatically assigned to the implementation when you named it.

  2. Save your entries, and assign the implementation to a development class.
  3. Place the cursor on the method, and double-click to enter method processing.
  4. Enter the code for the implementation between the statements method <Interface name> ~ <Name of method> and endmethod.
  5. Save and implement your code. Return to the Edit Implementation screen.

    Note: You can also create an implementation, and then activate it at a later time. In such a case, end the processing stage at this point.

  6. Choose Activate.

    The code you stored in the method will be run when the application program is executed.
