Use

When the rental object is located in a highly-populated city, in accordance with legal regulations, extra points can be included in the calculation of the total number of points. To do so, make the following settings in Customizing:

  1. In the Customizing activity Define Measurement Types, you define measurement types that record the value of the rental object and the value of the rental object per square meter
  2. In the Customizing activity Define Fixtures and Fittings Characteristics, you define a fixtures and fittings characteristic that stores the extra points.

    Also, if you want to reduce the maximum number of extra points allowed, define a characteristic for the delta value in this Customizing activity.

  3. In the Customizing activity Define Fixtures and Fittings Characteristics, you select the fixtures and fittings characteristics whose recorded data you want to include in the total area calculation.

    The total area is used to calculate the value of the rental object per square meter.

  4. In the Customizing activity Enter Highly Populated Cities, you enter the highly-populated cities as defined by law.

    By specifying the Valid From date, the system automatically includes the extra points as of the specified date.

  5. In the Customizing activity Assign Measurement Type and Characteristic to Company Code, you assign the following to the company code:
    • Measurement types that record the value of the rental object and the value of the rental object per square meter
    • Fixtures and fittings characteristic that stores the extra points
  6. In the Customizing activity Define Value Ranges for Extra Points, you define the first value of the value ranges and assign the maximum number of points that can be included in the total number of points calculation to the value ranges.
