In this step, you define the parameters of the prior service for leave type long service leave.
Every year the employee works, he or she gets a defined accrual of days for long service leave. After a few years, the accrual becomes entitlement on the anniversary date. However, the anniversary date can be deferred if the employee exceeded the threshold for leave without pay or unauthorized leave.

A sample entry can be:
PS grouping 13
Leave code 0300 (Long Service Leave)
Max Break in Service 365 days
Min Break in Service 30 days
LWOP Threshold 30 days
Unau Threshold 1 day
Initial Accrual of 0.3 months per year within 10 years
Subsequent Accrual of 0.3 months per year every 1 year after initial transfer
Requirements
- Personnel subarea grouping for absence and attendance types 13.
- Create Master Leave Code & its Characteristics as Leave code for PS Infotype.
- Maintain feature AUT2A (Determine quota type selection rule group) for the selection rule.

Activities
- Carry out activity.
- Choose personnel subarea grouping for absence types.
- Choose leave code.
- For General Information, specify:
- The number of days to be considered maximum and minimum break in service
- The threshold values for prior service for Leave Without Pay and Unauthorised Leave
- The initial and subsequent accrual rate
- For Result Storage Information, select:
- Anniversary date for full-time and part-time work
- Full time entitlement quota type
- Full time accrual quota type
- Part time entitlement quota type
- Part time accrual quota type
- Choose Save.
