In this step, you determine if leave can be deducted alternatively in case of not having enough quota to take the desired leave. That means if an employee wants to take leave, but he or she does not have enough absence quota for the according leave type, the employee can for example purchase the leave. If this is allowed, a dialog box appears when creating the leave where the employee can select the desired deducting option.

Example

For Leave Code 100 (Sick leave), every checkbox is ticked. That means that the employee can select every option to acquire leave when the dialog box appears.

Before you execute this step, you have to carry out IMG step Create Master Leave Code & its Characteristics first.

Activities

To set the desired options, accomplish the following steps:

  1. Carry out the activity.
  2. Choose New entries to insert new records.
  3. For each record, execute the following steps:
    • Insert a personnel subarea grouping.
    • Insert the Leave Code.
    • If the respective options are allowed in IMG step Create Master Leave Code & its Characteristics, tick the LWOP, NTCAS, Purchase, Anticipate, and FlexTime checkboxes. If some of them are not allowed, you don't need to tick the appropriate checkboxes.
    • If any of the previous checkboxes are ticked, also tick Popup. This causes the dialog box to appear in case of too less absence quota available. Don't tick Popup if no other checkbox is ticked.
  4. Choose Save.

Further notes

Insert all of the leave codes that are available in step Create Master Leave Code & its Characteristics. Otherwise an error message will appear in case of not having enough absence quota.
