In this step, you enable the year-end forced tax reconciliation. You specify the period from which tax has to be reconciled before the year end. You maintain the feature THFTX where you make a decision on payroll area.
Example
When tax is processed and deducted for an employee every month, it is possible that an employee has either paid more or less tax than the actual value. If you specify that tax has to reconciled from October onwards for a monthly payroll, then the Forced Tax Calculation method automatically comes into force from the month of October. The tax to be paid by the employee is reconciled during the remaining months of the tax year, starting from October onwards.

For a payroll area, specify the payroll period from when tax has to be reconciled as the return value of the feature.
Further notes
If you do not maintain this feature, then you have to reconcile the tax amount for the tax year using the Income Tax Reconciliation worksheet (PIT 91) report (HTHCTX91).
