Use
The Easy Enhancement Workbench is a development environment that is oriented toward a wizard concept, and with which you can extend certain business objects in the SAP standard with user-defined data fields and tables by using simple means. For predefined extension processes, technical objects such as ABAP Dictionary Appends are created according to extension description by a generator in a wizard, and the required BAdIs are implemented. This functions system-wide, that is, when extending a CRM system you can also execute extensions in the connected R/3 OLTP system.
In order to make the system landscape used known to the Easy Enhancement Workbench, you must set all systems involved and their parameters in this IMG activity. For more information on this Customizing, see OSS Note 649336.
Requirements
You must already have executed ALE- and RFC IMG activities. In particular, the logical system names and RFC destinations are required.
Standard settings
No default settings are supplied.
Activities
Basically, you must maintain the data of all systems in each system involved. Check for consistency, that is, you must define data for one system identically in the system group.
Setting parameters are:
- System: This system name is used only by the Easy Enhancement Workbench; it is not dependent on your normal nomenclature.
- System Type: Choose the system type (for example, CRM, MDM, or R/3 Enterprise) by using the F4 Help.
- System Role: Choose the development system, Customizing system, productive system, and test system. Because client-dependent table entries are created in almost all extensions, a customizing client must exist and be entered as the Customizing system.
- Long Text: System description
- Logical System: Logical system name (ALE Customizing)
- Destination: RFC destination by which the system can be reached. Leave this field initial for the central system. If the system describes a component that is in the local development system, no RFC destination is required in this case either. Ensure that the RFC user used has the required authorizations.
- Namespace: The namespace requested by you, or 'Z'. This is used as a prefix for generated objects.
- Short Namespace: This is used for objects with abbreviated names (such as table entries). Choose 'Z' or 'Y'.
- Customer System: Set this indicator to 'X' if the system is configured as the customer system.
- Active: Set this indicator to 'X' if the system is to be included in the extension process.
For more information, use the F1 Help on each single parameter.
