If net book values are available in your previous system instead of accumulated depreciation values and historical APC, then the net book values can be entered during value entry instead of the ordinary depreciation. The ordinary depreciation amount is then calculated as the difference between the acquisition value, the net book value and the other depreciation values (for example special depreciation). Note that cumulative special depreciation may also be necessary for a correct calculation of the cumulative ordinary depreciation.
Caution
Net book values can only be transferred using the manual takeover transactions. You cannot transfer net book values using the batch input interface RAALTD01.
Activities
Determine the company codes for which net book values should be entered during old assets data takeover instead of cumulative depreciation.
