In this step, you determine the index series that your asset classes are to use. Depending on the definition in the screen layout control that is used, these index series are proposed or are mandatory defaults when you create a fixed asset.
Requirements
You must have created asset classes.
Standard settings
SAP supplies predefined asset classes (1-8).
Activities
Enter index series in the depreciation area specifications of your asset class.
Note: you can only specify index series for depreciation areas that have definitions that allow for index series (see Determine depreciation areas).
