Identify service categories for which Remote Logistics Management (RLM) Rentals functions will be available. If the category of the service in a service line is not found in Customizing, RLM Rentals functions will not be available. There is, however, one exception to this rule: for text items some RLM Rentals functions will be available if there are no Customizing entries.
Functions for integration with Production Resources or Tools (PRTs) can only be available if RLM Rentals functions are available. To have PRT functions available, Customizing must exist, due to the requirement for default values used when creating PRT master data.
Example
If RLM Rentals processing is obligatory for a service category, select F (Forced) as the value for initialization of the Rental service flag.
If there is no Customizing for text items (service category is blank), the system will behave as if there was such Customizing with E (Enabled) as the value for initialization for the Rental service flag and N (Not applicable) as the value for the initialization of the PRT flag.

If there are no Customizing entries, RLM Rentals functionality will be available for text items, but without support for PRT allocation. If RLM Rentals functionality should not be available at all, one Customizing entry for text items must be created with value N (Not applicable) in both the Rental service field and the Production Resource or Tool field.
