Use
In this step, you define a complete list of the authorities or institutions that issue certificates or licenses to your employees.

Execute this step.
On the subsequent screen, for each authority or institution to be defined, enter a one- to two-character identifier of your choosing in the Authority column.
For each identifier you enter, specify the name of the institution or authority (twenty characters maximum) in the adjacent Description column.
Save your entries, then exit this step.
Example
Suppose you are employed for a county school district, for which you must define the authorities that issue certification to the teachers, administrators, and other employees in your district. In this case, issuing authorities could be - among others - the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS), the U.S. Department of Education (DOE), your state Department of Education, or your county or local school district. By executing this step, you could define these issuing authorities in the following manner:
Authority - Description NB - NBPTS DE - U.S. Dept. of Ed. ED - State Dept. of Ed. CY - County School Dist. SD - Local School Dist.
