Use

Follow the Calculation of Employement Period link, you define the settings for the seniority calculation. This years of service would be used in the 403(b) process to determine if an employee is allowed to increase his/her contribution limit under the IRC section 402(g)(8) exception rule.

Requirements

For 403(b) savings plan use, the Calculation Process is predefined as '403B'.

Standard settings

For system integration, the default value of Valuation Model is '403B', and the corresponding Selection Rules are 'US3A' and 'US3B'. 'US3A' uses infotype 0008 for services after system live date; 'US3B' uses infotype 0552 for services before system live date.

Through IMG steps Calculation of Employement Period, Customers can customize their own settings for the years of service.
