In this step, you define the subapplication for your pension fund and the statutory pension age.

Activities

1. Define Subapplication for Pension Age
If you want to define the statutory pension age for your pension fund, you must first define a subapplication. The subapplication is used to create the link between the pension fund and the pension age. You can choose any character string from the customer namespace for the subapplication.

2. Define Statutory Pension Age
Define the statutory pension age after you define the subapplications in the previous view.
In the processing schedule, you can use operation P6 to determine the statutory pension age of the insured person. The retirement date, which is specified implicitly by the pension age, is determined by operation P5. A parameter of the operation is the subapplication, which is used to determine the retirement date. In your schedule, specify as parameters the subapplications that you defined in the first activity.

The statutory pension age is defined according to gender, and specifies that the insured person becomes a pensioner after the month in which he or she reaches the statutory pension age. The pension age is required in particular to create the benefits statement, which details the projected value of benefits on the anticipated retirement date. A retirement age defined in the Determination of Pension Age view applies to all persons of one gender who were born within the interval defined by the Earliest birth date and Latest birth date interval.

Example

In Switzerland, the retirement age for women was 62 years until December 31, 2000. As of January 1, 2001, the retirement age for women is 63 years. This means that for women born up to and including 1938 the retirement age of 62 years applies, and for women born as of 1939 the retirement age is 63 years. This can be represented in the Determination of Pension Age view as follows:

Gender    Earliest DoB    Latest DoB    Pension age

Female    01.01.1800    31.12.1938    62

Female    01.01.1939    31.12.9999    63
