In this step, you define the number range(s) for assigning account numbers. These are stored in the number range object HRCHPKONTO.
You can do this in the following ways:
- Internal number assignment
The R/3 System supplies the number
- External number assignment
The user supplies the account number
Note
External account assignment is not possible with PF account numbers.
Activities
To define the number ranges for your account numbers, you:
- Choose Change ranges.
- Choose Add range.
- Enter a key for the range.
- Define the lower limit and the upper limit of the range.
- Define the last number to be assigned.
- Choose Save.
Further notes
You transport number range objects as follows:
Choose Interval -> Transport in the accounting document Number Range screen.
All intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.
Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
