Use
In this IMG activity you define the assignment between the screen structure and conversion class for a decoupled infotype. The screen structure contains all infotype fields that are relevant for the UI. If you developed the decoupled infotype in the Create Infotype IMG activity, this entry is automatically generated. For more information, see the SAP Library and choose HR Tools -> Developing an Infotype in Personnel Administration -> Developing an Infotype -> Create Infotype.
Note
Without a screen structure and assigned conversion class, the infotype cannot run in applications such as Employee Self-Services or HR Administrative Services.
Requirements
Standard settings
All screen structures provided by SAP are correctly configured. As a customer, you may not change these entries.
Customer screen structures start with the letter Z or Y.
Activities
If you did not use the Create Infotype IMG activity to develop the decoupled infotype, you must manually create this entry. Proceed as follows:
- Enter the name of the screen structure.
- Enter the infotype.
- Enter the type of screen structure (type):
- Infotype (MAIN): Standard
- Each infotype has exactly one MAIN structure that contains all UI-relevant infotype fields.
- Repeat structure (LINE)
- If the infotype has repeat fields, you can group them in a repeat structure. Multiple repeat structures can exist for an infotype.
- Enter the infotype version (version).
- Enter the conversion class to assign to the screen structure. The conversion class formats the data between the user interface (data in the screen structure) and the back end (database view). If you do not have any particular data formatting requirements you can use the standard conversion class CL_HRPA_UI_CONVERT_BASIC. Otherwise, implement your own conversion class. For more information, see the SAP Library and choose HR Tools -> Developing an Infotype in Personnel Administration -> Developing an Infotype -> UI Programming Guidelines for Infotypes.
