In this step, you check how Taxation Indicator, Residence
Status, Living Place and Tax Calculation Class are
related to form Taxation Type as personnel tax status.

Requirements

Tax calculation class must have already been defined.

Standard settings

There are five standard taxation types provided as follows:

  • KOUHYOU TEKIYOU -
    Regular employee who receives salary from one company.
  • OTSUHYOU TEKIYOU -
    Employee who receives salary from more than one company.
  • Overseas (Normal) -
    Employee who is a non-resident in Japan and his or her income tax
    is calculated in the normal way. (Tax rate used is legally fixed
    and the employee pays all his or her tax.)
  • Overseas (Assumed) -
    Employee who is a non-resident in Japan and his or her income tax
    is calculated in the 'assumed' way. (Tax rate used is company
    defined assumed rate and an employee pays only the 'assumed' tax
    amount. The difference between actual tax amount and 'assumed'
    amount is paid by the company.)
  • Foreigner (in Japan) -
    Foreigner who works in Japan but does not have residence status.

Recommendation

Entries are maintained only if customer specific taxation class
is required.

Activities

Check the entries and create new entries, if required.
