In this step, the method used for each employee group to derive the employee's start date is attached.
The start date of the "relevant period" is based on the employee's start date. The specific way that each employee's start date has been entered into the system can be defined for your various employee groups.
The possible options are;
A) Employee's ORIGINAL start date from Events Infotype (0000).
B) Employee's MOST RECENT start date from Events Infotype (0000).
C) Employee's PREVIOUS HISTORY start date from a Date Type field in the Date Specifications Infotype (0041).
D) Employee's HIRE DATE using the feature ENTRY and the (STANDARD) function module HR_ENTRY_DATE.
Example
Normally, the start date is taken from the Events Infotype (0000), when the employee was most recently hired.
