The HESA institution ID is used on infotype HESA Master Data (0614) to indicate the previous UK institution.
You can enter a short text for each institution for your own use.
The address data can be used to generate letters, emails or support a customer specific to gather HESA staff identifiers from members of staff formerly employed by a UK Higher Education institution.

The short text can be used for customer specific purposes like the university calendar.

SAP delivers the institution IDs for British Higher Education Institutions.
Addresses and Institution short text are not provided.
