Define Holiday Buying/Selling Attributes (FLEX)

Use

In this step, you define the attribute for holiday plan.

You assign an absence quota type to a holiday plan, the quota type can only be uniquely assigned to one holiday plan.

The quota type has been predefined in the implementation step Define Absence Quota Type under Time Management -> Time Data Recording and Administration -> Managing Time Accounts Using Attendance/Absence Quota -> Time Quota Types.

The time unit of absence quota type can be by days or by hours. Once you have assigned the quota type of a certain time unit, days for example, you should process the holiday plan enrollment for your employees with the same time unit.

Each employee is also entitled to an absence quota type that has been maintained in the Absence Quotas infotype (2006).

Example 1

You have defined the absence quota 00 of time unit by day for your employees in the Absence Quotas infotype (2006). Then, in this implementation step, you assign the absence quota 00 (by day) to the selected holiday plan.

The holiday plan options are defined with the time unit of by day: sell one day or buy two days and so on. If you define the option with time unit by hour, it will cause incorrect calculation of employee's absence quota and employee cost for holiday buying and selling.

Example 2

You have defined the absence quota 01 of time unit by hour in infotype 2006; you should assign the absence quota 01 (by hour) to the selected holiday plan.

You have defined the holiday plan options of time unit by hour: sell one hour or buy two hours and so on. If you define the holiday plan option of time unit by day, it will cause incorrect calculation of employee's absence quota and employee cost for holiday buying and selling.

Requirements

You must have maintained the absence quota for employees in the Absence Quotas infotype (2006).

You have defined the holiday plans in the implementation step: Define Miscellaneous Plan General Data.

Activities

1. Select the benefit area.
2. Choose a holiday plan and go to the Details screen.
3. Assign a quota type which is differentiated by Employee subgroup/ Personnel subarea and has been predefined in the implementation step Define Absence Quota Type.
4. Save your entries.
