In this step, you convert the currency of wages and salaries from the old national currency into euro.
Example
Requirements
If you want to convert the country-specific Ireland version and you also use non monthly payroll or have to perform a conversion from 4 dec Irish punts (IEP4) to 4 dec Euro (EUR4), do not use this report. Use report RPUEMU00_IE.
Standard settings
Recommendation
Activities
- Execute the report RPUEMU00 (Currency Changeover EMU for Pay Scales).
On the given key date, the report converts all customizing tables and infotype tables that are related to the selected pay scales. In table T510F Pay Scale -> Currency Assignment the system delimits the existing entries with the old national currencies on the key date of the Euro conversion, and generates new entries with the currency EUR.
If there were no entries for a particular pay scale, the system creates two new data records:
- An entry with the old national currency, which is valid until the day before the key date
- An entry with the currency EUR, which is valid as of the key date.
- Check the newly generated entries in the Pay Scale -> Currency Assignment view.
Further notes
For additional information on converting the pay scale currency, refer to the report documentation RPUEMU00.
Note that when you convert to euros, you cannot round differently for each wage type, but must round all affected wage types either up or down. To round individual wage types up or down separately, run report RPU51000 (Simple Pay Scale Increase for Indirectly Valuated Wage Types) or RPITRF00 (Enhanced Pay Scale Increase (Indirect and Direct Wage Types)) after the currency conversion.
For further information about the order in which you should perform customizing changes and the euro conversion, see the SAP note 403604 (HR-EURO: Customizing Amounts and Euro Tools).
