In this step, you bring together all the definitions relevant to the request type that you have made in the previous implementation steps.
To each request type, you assign the following:
Request type limit rule variant
Request status for positive balance
Request status for negative balance
Create request with status
Request processed by payroll
Whether pay excess points by the employee or the employer
Example
Request type attributes are time-dependent, which means you can define different characteristics in different time periods to cater for your company's requirement.
For example, from 01.01.2000 to 31.12.2000, you assign the request type limit rule variant 00 (relevant with salary grouping and seniority grouping). But from 01.01. 2001 till 31.12.2002, using the variant 01 (only relevant with seniority grouping).
When you create a request in the Benefit Request infotype (0718), after you have made entries in all required fields, for example, request option, request amount, then press Enter, the system checks whether it is a positive balance or not. For positive balance, your entries will be saved and the system will set the request status as "Approved". But the HR clerk can freely change the status by choosing from the following status types:
