In this step, you define the time period for each account.

This step serves as the precondition for the configurable point account variant and additional point account rule which are closely linked to individual point account. That is, you should always specify the time period for the account before you carry out other customizing activities.

Correspondingly, when you customize the account variant and rule for a particular account and define the account's period, the system will check the consistency with the period you have specified in this customizing activity. If not consistent, error message occurs.
