Tax codes are defined by official documents from the Norwegian tax authorities ('Skattedirektoratet'). Each tax code defines a specific kind of payment/amount that has been given to an employee.
Every tax code has to be created in the system and its properties specified.
For each tax code a text is associated to it. This is the text that is used for printing out tax statements on tax forms. This text is given in the document 'Kodeoversikt for loenns- og trekkoppgaver' from 'Skattedirektoratet'.
It has to be specified how the tax code is used to determine if the employee should be reported or not (A-code, i.e. 'arbeidsgiveravgiftspliktige ytelser' and P-code, i.e. 'oppgavepliktige koder').
For each tax code it has to be specified if the tax code is printed in a special line on the top of the form or in the window containing the further list of tax codes.
It is specified how tax code values are cumulated if several occurences of the tax code are created.
The record type (4/5 or 6) is specified (record type 5 is not used after 1998).

Flags PLIKT (P-Code) and SLCOD (special line) are set for this tax code. This tax code is of record type 4. There is only one amount reported with text 'Beløp'. This amount should be positive. If different wage types map to this tax code, then the values are cumulated. Therefore cumulation type 1 is chosen since time information is not relevant.
