In this step, you set up part of day absences (longer than one day), which are defined as percentages.

Example

Sickness and leave of absence may occur as a percentage, for example 25% sick (=75% work capacity). For the user to be able to enter 75% work capacity, the absence type must be set up with screen number = 2008, and a high maximum duration, for example 999.

Limitations

Currently, any percentage is allowed during time entry. In addition, the percentage reduction is only made in payroll, not in time management.

Standard settings

In the standard system, the absence types sickness, infectious disease, work injury, and leave of absence are set up accordingly.

Recommendation

SAP recommends that you do not change the absence exceptions rules in the standard system without a good knowledge of what consequences these changes will have in the payroll system.
