In this step, you check the processing of variable allowances during the payroll run. The necessary processing steps are carried out in schema RT00 (Gross remuneration (time management)) in subschema RNR2 (Generating wage types for variable ALW/MINDEF) which separates into the following calculation rules:
RNR0: Create base for variable allowances payable MINDEF
In this rule the wage types for variable allowances which can be reclaimed from MINDEF are formed. This is done by importing the wage types stored in the LRT and, if the LRT wage type possesses the corresponding specification of processing class 63, by setting the RTE and AMT to 0 and setting the NUM field of the respective wage type to 1. The wage type is then stored in the IT as the corresponding MINDEF wage type, thus making the latter available for average processing.
RNR1: Check NUM field
This rule checks whether the NUM field of every MINDEF wage type for variable allowances, which is stored in the IT, is equal to 1. If this is not the case, NUM is then set to 1.

Activities
Check the processing steps of the above mentioned personnel calculation rules. If you want to make alterations, proceed as follows:
Copy the rule delivered by SAP to create a customer rule (e.g. RNR0 -> ZNR0).
Make your changes to the copied rule.
Save the copied personnel calculation rule.
In schema RNR2, substitute the call of the SAP standard rule with that of the copied rule.
Save the schema.
