In this step, you configure the tax-free component of 13th month and other bonus payments.

During payroll, the payroll program compares the total amount of 13th month and bonus payments to the amount you enter in this step. Any amount in excess of the tax-free amount is added to the employee's taxable gross income.

Requirements

The tax-free amount you enter must coincide with the amount stipulated by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

Standard settings

Recommendation

To change the tax-free component, SAP recommends that you delimit the validity dates of the existing record and create a new record.

Activities

Modify the constant Max. Non-Tax 13th Mth + Bonuses (PH13B) to meet your requirements by entering the appropriate validity dates and the maximum tax-free amount as stipulated by the BIR.
