In this step, you define the wage type used to calculate an advance payment that is created during a multiple payroll run and that is not subject to statutory deductions. You then configure the wage type to cumulate into the employee's total gross salary and the total multiple payment.
Example
Wage Type Total Gross Total Multiple Payment
First pay of two per month X X
The advance payment must cumulate into the total multiple payment so that it is accounted for in the next regular payroll run.
Standard settings
The standard system contains a model SAP wage type for advance payments. You can copy and modify the wage type to meet your requirements.
Recommendation
If you create your own advance payment wage type, make sure that it is valid for entry in the One-Time Pay Off-Cycle infotype (0267). SAP recommends that you copy the model SAP wage types as these have been preconfigured for entry in infotype 0267.
Activities
