Employment tax and national insurance contributions are calculated according to the calculation rules defined by the tax authorities. During calculation the wage per period is converted to annual wage and then rounded. The rounding is influenced by a number of parameters: Maximum annual wage 1, increment 1, maximum annual wage 2 and increment 2. This step enables you to check these parameters.

Standard settings
Both maximum annual wage 1 and 2 and increments 1 and 2 are supplied by SAP as part of the standard delivery. No modifications are required. If necessary you can make interim changes. Please note that when making changes you must always use the data defined by the tax authorities.

Interim changes: Delimit the old data and create a new record with the correct start date and the new percentages. Unchanged data must be transferred into the new record.
