Activities
In this step, you verify that the maximum assessable wage rates for each applicable province and territory are correctly recorded in your system, as described in the following activities.
Execute this IMG step.
On the following screen, select Position.
Within the subsequent dialog box, in the Constant field, enter TWABE, then choose Enter.
In response, the system will display payroll constant TWABE, whose value corresponds to the maximum assessable wage rate that has been established in the province of Alberta. In 2001, this value corresponds to an amount of 50,100.00; no premiums need be remitted for income earned in Alberta in 2001 in excess of this amount.
Review the value assigned to payroll constant TWABE and adjust it, if required - for example, if you have crossed into a new calendar year.
Repeat step 2. for the payroll constants that apply to all remaining territories and provinces - TWBCE for British Columbia, TWMBE for Manitoba, and so on.
Save any entries you have made, exit this IMG step, and proceed with configuration.
Further notes
With each new calendar year, provincial and territorial maximum assessable wage rates are set anew and must be adjusted in this IMG step accordingly.
