Use

In this Customizing activity, you define the values of the following payroll constants:

  • DEPDL - Allowed IRA Contribution Period after Separation Payment
  • DEPLT - Lower Limit for Percentage of IRA Contribution

When an employee receives a separation payment, he or she must make the contribution to the Individual Retirement Account (IRA) institution in a legally required period, and the contribution amount must be not less than a certain percentage of the total amount for the original separation payment. Otherwise, the employee cannot receive the tax refund for the IRA contribution.

When the HR administrator maintains the employee's master data for tax deferring in the infotype 0538, the system checks the following field values against the constant values:

Check and update the constant values to align with the legal regulations.
