Use
In this step, you check the used absence entitlements generated using the Absence History Report.
Activities
Run this report for a specific old (manual) absence subtype and exclude the corresponding payment band from the Cross Reference table (V_T5PBS31).
If ANY data appears in the report for ANY employees, these will be errors as they should have been mapped to the corresponding payment band.
Repeat this procedure for each of your "old" absence subtypes.
Example
You have absence subtypes 100% Sickness, 50% Sickness and 0% Sickness. These were used historically to allow you to pay your employees correctly when they were sick. However, this also meant it was necessary for some employees to have their absences split manually in infotype 2001so they moved from Full to Half pay on the correct day.
You have created a new absence subtype Sickness which will now be used for ALL your sicknesses as the calculation of the Payment Percentage for each day of the absence is performed during payroll.
However, your historical data must be converted for the new Sickness subtype to work correctly. This conversion will simply perform a one-to-one mapping, using the definitions in the Cross Reference table (V_T5GPBS31). The results of this mapping can be checked by using the Absence History Report for the "old" absence subtypes up to the go live date.
