In this step, you determine the assignment of your personnel areas to an legally independent company. The following effects occur in social insurance and in the DUEVO when an employee changes companies:
- The "SI Luft" is not transfered in the social insurance. This may have effects on the imposition of contribution deductions of non-recurring incomes.
- In the DUEVO, a deregistration is created for the period of employment in the old company and a registration for the new company.
Example
You have four personnel areas in two legally independent companies. If the first three personnel areas now belong to the first company and the fourth personnel area to the second company, the field Legal person could be maintained as follows:

Requirements
- You have defined your personnel areas.
- Clarify which personnel area belongs to which legally independent company.
Standard settings
No default settings exist, since you must define your personnel areas in any case.
Activities
Find for all personnel areas, to which independent company in the legal sense this personnel area belongs. Assign a character string of your choice for every independent company in the field Legal person.
Further notes
Personnel areas can have different company numbers and nevertheless belong to the same company. Some health insurance funds wrongly require a deregistration and re-registration in the DUEVO, if the company number changes when an employee changes companies. It is however specified in the DUEVO that only a change of company is a reporting fact. In this case, code the field Legal person with the same indicator.
