Use
In this IMG activity, you set up the wage types for pensions and related benefits in Payroll.
Requirements
You copied your wage types from the sample wage types and assigned them to the wage type group "pensions and related benefits".
Standard settings
A number of sample wage types (for example, company pension, widow's pension) are assigned in the standard SAP System.
Activities
Check the definitions of the wage types in processing class 21. Wage types for other pension payments, for which the "divide by twelve" rule does not apply when calculating the pension tax exemption and its bonus (for example, death benefit) must be coded with "I", whereby wage types for multiyear pension payments must be coded with "J".
Check the cumulations for your wage types. You can only select one of the cumulations listed in the following view for each wage type.
Further notes
Potential pension payments (for example, company pensions) automatically become actual payments when the employee reaches a certain age. You can specify the age as of which potential pensions become actual pensions using the minimum age for tax exemption for pensions in infotype 0012, Fiscal Data D. In the case of real pension payments (e.g. widows', orphans' pensions) there is no check on the age of the employee.
