In this step, you maintain the corresponding values the reasons for start of pension and for the legal bases for pension calculation in the tax table for pension payments.
Standard settings
In the SAP standard system, the following values are pre-set as reasons for the start of a pension under the control indicator 02 (reason for start of pension).

01 Age limit reached
02 Industrial accident (§36 BeamtVG)
03 Industrial accident (§37 BeamtVG)
04 Wartime injury (§82 BeamtVG)
05 Retirement (§42 par. 4 BBG)
The following values are pre-set for the legal basis for the pension under the control indicator 07 (Legal bases for pension calculation):

Activities
- Choose Maintain reasons for start of pension.
You access the PS Pensions Control Indicator view.
- Maintain the required values for the reasons for the start of a pension.
- Choose Save.
- Choose Back.
- Choose Maintain legal bases for pension calculation.
You access the PS Pensions Control Indicator.
- Maintain the required values for the calculation bases.
- Choose Save.
Further notes
Note that the internal keys for reasons for the start of a pension have a fixed meaning and are evaluated accordingly in payroll accounting.
