In this step, you define the insurance types to be included in a insurance segment notification. The assignment of wage type and insurance type takes place in the combination table, where you define which notification fields in a segment notification are to be included for each insurance type and which wage types will be used for the notification fields.
The validity of the notification fields is derived from the detail view of the combination table. In the Notification data group, each line has a checkbox. If the checkbox is blank, the notification field is never filled for this insurance type.
If notification fields should contain amounts, you must enter the wage type in the From wage type field. If you want to include several wage types in an insurance type for a notification, you must create several records for this insurance type (using different sequential numbers).
If difference notifications must be created when the segments are formed, in the In difference type field, enter the field of the difference type in which the difference amounts will be placed.
The Segment type group contains data on the conditions under which the insurance type may or may not be included in a notification. For example, you can specify whether an insurance type corresponds to an unpaid absence, or whether it may only occur for semiretirement.
Standard settings
In the standard system, combination key 01 contains the most frequently-used insurance types for the pay scale area West, and combination key 02 contains the wage types for the pay scale area East (in accordance with the social insurance body, which only requires notification of SP-liable remuneration). Combination key 03 contains entries set up according to the West pay scale, but which also require notification of the contribution.
Activities
Step: Copy Combination Code to Customer Entry
Before you change the combination table, you should copy the model entries to your own combination key in the customer name range to ensure that your changes will not be overwritten by SAP.
- You are in the initial screen for supplementary pension (transaction PU11). Under Tables, choose Combination data and then Copy entries.
- The default entry for the source key is 01. Enter a combination key for one of the model entries (01, 02, or 03). As the target key, enter a combination key of your choice from the customer name range.
- If you want to transport the copied entries to another system at a later point, flag the Generate transport request field.
- Choose Execute.
Step: Create/Enhance/Change Insurance Types
If you want to create new insurance types or modify existing insurance types, proceed as follows:
- First enter your customer combination key as the selection criterion.
You access the first page of the combination table.
- Select one of the existing entries.
- Choose Copy.
You access the detail view of the combination table.
- If you want to create a new insurance type, change the name of the insurance type, or, if you want to include additional wage types in an existing insurance type, change the sequential number.
- Change the fields in the group Description of combination key as required.
- Choose Execute.
Also check the standard SAP insurance types with regard to the validity of fields 12 to 18, and to the completeness of the accompanying wage types. If you want to make changes, proceed as follows:
- First enter your customer combination key as the selection criterion.
- On the overview screen of the combination table, select the corresponding entry for an insurance type.
- Choose Detail.
You access the detail view of the combination table.
- Change the entries.
- Choose Save.
Step: Assign Combination Key to SPF
When you have maintained the insurance types for a combination key, you must still specify which SPF should use this combination key.
- In the SPF table, select the required supplementary pension fund.
- Choose Detail.
- In the Combination key field, enter your combination key.
- Choose Save.
