In this step, employees are grouped according to shared modalities valid for the calculation of year-end bonuses. This grouping is based on the organizational assignment of the employees, for example the personnel area or the employee subgroup. You create this grouping in the decision tree for the feature CHJZU. You store a return value in the decision tree for each employee grouping that has its own calculation control for year-end bonuses.
For each employee grouping of a feature, you define a return value. The system uses this value to read the calculation control for the relevant year-end bonus.
In the subsequent step, Maintain Parameters for Year-End Bonuses, enter and save the return value as parameter 2. If you do not enter the return value, the system calculates the year-end bonus for all employees that do not have another, specific return value.
Example
You want to pay all employees in your enterprise a year-end bonus as 13th month's wages. According to your enterprise's guidelines, the apprentices/trainees receive a different amount. You can reproduce this situation in the system by assigning two different return values to the feature CHJZU. You maintain the feature as follows:
D PERSK
CH &CHJZU =CH (for apprentices/trainees),
** &CHJZU =XX (for all other employees)
In HR-CH: Control of Year-End Bonus view (V_T5C3H), make two separate entries with parameter 2 for the return values CH and XX. The system uses the return value to read the appropriate line of the grouping for the year-end bonus. For return value CH, the system calculates the year-end bonus for apprentices/trainees. For the return value XX, the system calculates the year-end bonus for all other employees.
