In this step you can find instructions on implemeting additional insurances that are not included in the standard system.

You must note that you can only introduce a further insurance at the start of a year.

Proceed as follows, if you wish to define your own insurance:

  1. In the view V_T5C3I copy the entry with the key UEB to a customer entry. Possible application keys for your insurances are:
    1. CUS1
    2. CUS2
    3. CUS3
  2. In the view V_T5C3J copy the entry with the key UEB to your new application key CUS1 (or CS2/CUS3). The start date of the new entry must be the start date of the new insurance (that is January 1 of the year in question). To further maintain characteristics of the new entry proceed as follows:
    1. Feature: The features CHFIX, CHFIY and CHFIZ are available for the 3 application keys CUS1, CUS2 and CUS3.
    2. Table: The tables T5CSX, T5CSY and T5CSZ must be assigned to the application keys CUS1, CUS2 and CUS3
    3. Text tables: The text tables T5CSXT, T5CSYT and T5CSZT must be assigned to the application keys CUS1, CUS2 and CUS3
  3. In the view V_596D_B maintain the start date for your insurance.
  4. In the view V_T5CS4 define the application key SI for your new new insurance:
    1. Application key CH = CUS1 (or CUS2/CUS3)
    2. Application key SI = CUS1 (or CUS2/CUS3)
    3. Indicator for 'compulsory application key' = empty
  5. If you use the application key CUS1, you must maintain the characteristic CHFIX (CHFIY for CUS2, CHFIZ for CUS3) for setting up payroll units for your insurance. This activity is described in IMG step: Maintain payroll units.
  6. Start the report RPU45AC1 for your new application key CUS1. This report constructs the tables T5CSX/T5CSXT (or T5CSY/T5CSYT or T5CSZ/T5CSZT) according to the feature CHFIX (or CHFIY or CHFIZ). You must fill in the selection field application key, since otherwise, existing payroll units for AHV/ALV, UVG, and so on, will be overwritten. Then maintain the newly created payroll units.
  7. In the view V_T5CS1 copy the entry with the application key UEB/UEB to your new application key (CUS1/CUS1). The new entry begins with the start date of the insurance. Note when copying the field Grouping SV, the new insurance is only calculated for payroll units (see previous step) whose SI grouping matches the SI grouping in view V_T5CS1. If you want the new insurance to be calculated for all payroll units, you can set the grouping to 00 in V_T5CS1 (default entry). In this case the insurance is calculated independently of SI in the payroll units.

The following describes the procedure for setting up a customer-defined insurance involving the required functions.

Insurance amount as a set monthly instalment

In this case one or several monthly instalments are deducted in each period as long as the employee remains employed. Whether the instalment is deducted or not, depends only on the settings in the payroll unit for the employee. To activate an inusrance of this kind, carry out all the steps in the section Insurance with set monthly instalments.

Contributions dependent on wage amount - without projection for net wages

In this case, the contribution rates are entered in percent or per thousand, and the contribution calculation is independent from the employee's wage amount. You have the option of defining contribution levels by setting a maximum wage as the upper limit in each level. The lower limit is either zero or the maximum wage of the next lowest level. In the case of guaranteed net amounts or third party payments, no projection of insurance contributions should take place - this means that the employer does not take on payment of contributions in net pay.

To set up an insurance of this kind, carry out the steps in the section

Wage dependent contribution calculation without iteration.

Contributions dependent on wage amount - with projection for net wages

This variant differs from the previous one in that if there are guaranteed net amounts or third party payments, there is a projection of the contributions, which means that the payments are taken over by the employer.

To set up an insurance of this kind, follow the steps in the section Wage dependent contribution calculation with iteration

Once you have concluded these activities, you can use your new insurance.

If you wish to use other factors, apart from those in V_T5CS7 to calculate the contribution rate, you can do so using your own module in a customer module pool.

Three modules for calculations have been entered in V_T5CS1 for your application keys:

  • for iteration: here, the contribution calculation takes place within the context of gross/net iteration on an annual basis.
  • for bases/wages: here, the compulsory annual/period wages are ascertained
  • for contributions: the period amount is calculated here.

You have the option of entering your own module and module pool for your application key for the calculation. Copy the form routines UEB_O, UEB_BAS and UEB_F from the program RPCSV0C0 and carry out the required modifications and additions.

Recommendation

Use the report RPDLGA20, to check the cumulations of your wage types.
