In this section you can adapt the rule used to calculate the employee's wage supplement in case of specific absences.

Example

Employee absence due to sickness. In this case, the wage supplement, after a certain absence period, is paid by the Social Security National Institute (SSNI).

Requirements

Before performing this step, you must:

  1. Determine wage percentage paid in case of sickness benefit. To do so, please follow the instructions specified in:
    2. Define wage percentage in case of sickness benefit , in section Payroll -> Payroll Brazil -> Absences -> Define wage percentage in case of sickness benefit.
  2. If necessary, create absence wage types specific for your company, as specified in:
    3. Create wage types catalog, in section Payroll -> Payroll Brazil -> Absences -> Create wage types catalog .

Standard settings

The SAP standard version offers rule BRA2 to calculate the employee´s wage supplement in case of specific absences.

Recommendation

Adapt the standard calculation rule to the needs of your company.

Activities

  1. Check standard rule given by SAP.
  2. Copy scheme BR00 to a scheme with a new name, for example ZBR0.
  3. Copy calculation sub-scheme BRAL to another whose name corresponds to a name allowed for customers, as ZRAL, for example.
  4. Copy calculation rule BRA2 to another rule with a new name. For example, ZRA2.
    1. In rule ZRA2, override absence wage types /T45 and /T47 for the ones created specifically for your company.
  5. Override rule call BRA2 by ZRA2 in sub-scheme ZRAL.
  6. Join sub-scheme ZRAL into the new calculation scheme of payroll ZBR0.
  7. Save your entries.

Further notes

  1. If you have made changes in the standard rule, please use changed main scheme (for example, ZBR0) instead of BR00, whenever executing your payroll.
