In this activity, you define the following SI contribution rates:
- (Fixed) Percentages of Contributions
- Percentages of Contribution Amounts
- Percentages for the Pension Contribution and Pension Contribution of Side Charge Bonuses
- Variable percentages of the contributions
If the percentages are not the same for all insured persons in a contribution group, you can create a variable percentage. The percentages are differentiated using a variable key. You can override the variable key with customer exit VAR.
In addition to defining variable percentages for contributions and contribution amounts, you can control the percentage using customer exit BTR.

Requirements
Standard settings
For each contribution and each contribution amount, you can enter a
different employee and employer percentage by default with variable key 001. In addition, the following variable arguments are set up in the standard system.
Variable pension security contribution
The contribution rate for the pension security contribution is 1.3% for pensions with a pension start date before Jan. 1, 1999 (variables key 001), and otherwise 1.5% (variables key 002).

In the standard system, determination of the variable key for the variable pension security contribution is set up for contribution group PENS. The pension start date is determined via field STAT2 (Employment Status) with value 2 (pensioner) in infotyp Actions (0000) and can be overridden with customer exit PBG.
Variable pension contribution
The contribution rate for the pension contribution is different for government officials with a date of birth before December 1, 1959 (variables key 001) and after this date (variable key 002). In view V_T5APBS09 (Variable SI Percentages), the following entries are maintained for this as at Oct. 1, 2000:

Determination of the variable key for the variable pension contribution is set up in the standard system for contribution group BVA. The date of birth is determined via field GBDAT (Date of Birth ) in infotype Personal Data (0002).
Pension contribution for side charge bonus
The variable key for the pension contribution for side charge bonuses is defined with 001. In view V_T5APBS09, the following entries are maintained as at Oct. 1, 2000:

Accident insurance contribution for special payments
No accident insurance contribution is made for special payments. The variable key for accident insurance for special payments is defined with 001. The percentage for accident insurance for special payments is overridden by entering an employee and employer percentage with the initial value (0 or blank).
