In this section, you define the class types as a prerequisite for the classes.
For each object (such as a material), you can either use an existing class type, or create a new class type.

Note: You can use this function only if you are using the Web Application Server (SAP NetWeaver) together with SAP application components.

Standard Settings
SAP does not deliver any ALE-specific class types.
Activities
- Perform the function. A list of objects defined in the SAP system is displayed.
You require the following objects for the master data:

Info record: MARA
Material: MARA
Customer: KNA1
Vendor: LFA1
Activity: ASMD
Source list: MARA
- Create a class type.
- Select an object and the level Class Types.
- Choose New Entries.
- Enter a name.
- Flag the entry as a distribution class type. For each object, one class type can be flagged as distributable.
- Set the flag Multi Classification.
- Create a class status.
- Choose the level Class Status.
- Create the status 1, and select the options Class Maintenance, Classification, Selection, and Default Status.
- Create a classification status.
- Choose the level Classification Status.
- Create the status 1 and select the option Free.
Additional Notes
If you have classes that belong to a distribution class type, and it is assigned to a logical system, then you cannot copy the distribution flag to another class type. Otherwise, the system settings may be inconsistent.
Distributable class types can be defined for all existing objects in the SAP system classification. If you have created a class type of this type, then you can create classes to distribute this object.
