Use

In this activity, upon activating Multiple Period Start Days, you assign payroll areas into groups, then define one payroll area within each group as its main payroll area.

Requirements

Payroll areas may not be grouped arbitrarily. Therefore, while grouping payroll areas, you must meet the following prerequisites.

  • All payroll areas within the group must be payroll-relevant, or not payroll-relevant. In regard to payroll relevance, payroll areas therefore cannot be arbitrarily mixed.
  • All payroll areas must have the same time unit.
  • All payroll areas must have the same pay date.
  • You may only assign a given payroll area to one group.
  • You may only add a new payroll area to an existing group if all other payroll areas already assigned to the group have no payroll results.
  • In a productive environment, you are not permitted to delete any payroll area.
