In this step, you edit generation triggers for editions.

When you do this, the generation trigger is split in dialog (from-date of migration = migration date) and set to 'To be deleted'.

Generation before the migration date must be completed before you create the media product family (once the media product family is created, generation is inactive in the periodical product master). Once the media product family has been created, the generation trigger can no longer be maintained for the publication. (Splitting the trigger is technically possible, but the new entry cannot be changed.)

Special features:

  • You must ensure that planning does not take place in the migration period (>= migration date) for publications that do not have a generation trigger.
  • If the revenue accrual table JFREVVA contains issues after the migration date, the generation trigger can be split for the migration date (only if migration is active). In this case, you must perform the step Convert Revenue Accrual Table JFREVVA before completing migration.

Activities

  1. Set the generation status for the publication entry from the split date to To be deleted.
  2. Assign the value Delete for the field values Generation response to object created automatically and Generation response to object created manually.
