In this step you define the dependency of business partner usage on the business partner attributes.
You can assign business partners in various roles to a contract. However, a business partner is only admissible for a particular role if particular attributes have been maintained in their master data.
You can determine which attributes are the prerequisite for usage of a business partner for a particular role that has been entered in the contract partner determination procedure.
Example
You have entered the role 'AR' for a special type of agency in the contract partner determination procedure. You only want to assign business partners for whom the 'agency' indicator is selected in their general master data in this role to the contract. Other indicators that may have been selected are not relevant here. Insert the following entry in Customizing:
Role Agency indicator
AR X All other indicators are not selected.
Notes
Please note that indicators within a line are logically linked using an AND operation. This means that if several attributes are selected for a role, the business partner can only perform these roles in the contract if all attributes selected have been selected in their master data.
The system does not take account of attributes that are not selected here when it checks the admissibility of a business partner for a role.
