In this activity, you maintain the IS-M specific settings for business partner search and identification in the Customer Interaction Center.
- The start component defines IS-M/AM or IS-M/SD as the start component for accessing the CIC framework.
The component controls which selection criteria are used to identify business partners or which default settings are used for business partner creation. Preparation of the business partner selection list is also controlled by component selection. - The No Component Change indicator can be used to hide the field for component selection. This is necessary if you are only using IS-M/AM or IS-M/SD.
- The significance of the respective search field can be defined using the Significance of the M/AM Search Field and Significance of the M/SD Search Field fields.
- Specifying the search area defines the object of the search (business partner or household)
- The Change of search area not possible indicator can be used to suppress the button for changing the search area, so that you cannot change the pre-defined search area.
- The value in the Country field is used as a default value when you start processing a new customer contact.
- The cursor position defines the search field on which the cursor is placed when the transaction is started.
- The Search by name indicator allows you to search for a business partner by name only.
- If you activate the Enhanced address search indicator, the system uses the major customer and P.O.box addresses in addition to the house address to identify business partners.
- The Number of Items field can be used to define display of a dialog box that references a major customer.
- Automatic Identification
- The system uses the sales organization, distribution channel and division fields to define a default sales area for business partner creation.
A default sales area can be defined for the M/AM or M/SD component. - The New Classified Order Entry indicator provides the option of using a fast entry screen with more comprehensive functionality that is designed for the SAP BP.
The following settings only apply to the dialog box hit list with the IS-M/AM component selection:
- The sales area group field is used to identify all business partners in the selection list who have been created as a media customer or sales customer in a sales area that belongs to the sales area group.
- Activating the Media customers only first indicator controls whether the system initially only displays any media customers found in the business partner selection list.

Further notes
Display the business partner results list
The results list for the business partner search can be displayed in a separate dialog box or in the navigation or application area for the CIC.
If you select display within the CIC, the ISM_HITLIST component must be selected when you define the navigation or application area. If this component is not incorporated on any tab page, the system displays the hitlist as a dialog box.
