Use

In the solution mySAP PLM for Media, you can record business partners in the objects appropriation request, project definition, WBS element and media product master, depending on your company's requirements.

You can do this using the SAP Business Partner for media companies, which combines the functions of the SAP Business Partner with those of the previous IS-M business partner.

If your company has implemented mySAP PLM for Media without the Advertising Management and Sales and Distribution components, you only need to make the minimum Customizing settings described below for the SAP Business Partner for media companies. You can then add further settings as required.

Requirements

The minimum Customizing settings only apply if your company has implemented mySAP PLM for Media without IS-M/AM and IS-M/SD. If you also implement these two components, you must work through the full Customizing procedure in the corresponding sections.

Activities

  1. Define the account groups and the accompanying number ranges.
  2. Make all the settings in the section General Business Partner.
  3. Set up the number ranges for addresses in SAP Media.
  4. If you want to use the duplicate check, you must also make the settings for the activities Define Search Field Formatting Types (Business Partner) and Assign Formatting Types (Formatting Determination.

Finally, execute business partner migration. This modifies the settings for the SAP Business Partner.
