Use
You can use this Business Add-In (BAdI) to check the installation date in configuration control.
The BAdI contains the method: CHECK_DATE
In previous releases, the system output an error message and cancelled the installation if the installation date was before the MM posting date (goods issue). It can happen that the MM posting period is already past when the installation is due to take place (for example, a retroactive installation in the past). You must post the goods issue after the MM period in this case.
A different procedure might be necessary in these circumstances; the previous behavior has therefore been replaced by the BAdI method.
Requirements
Standard settings
The BAdI is delivered without an active implementation, but contains a default implementation that reproduces the previous behavior.
Activities
If you want to replace the standard behavior, the BAdI method CHECK_DATE must be implemented.
As well as the two dates, the method interface returns all available data such as goods issue document (header, item, serial number), information about the installation location, and the equipment number. This means that other checks can be carried out with the method, and not just the date check.
If you want a message to be output, the export parameter ES_MSG must be filled. If you want the installation to be cancelled, the exception DATE must be triggered.
