Use
In this Customizing activity, you define XML mapping rules for an XML version. This enables you to change some values in the XML file. The mapping rules identify the source of a value in the general input data structure and the destination of the same value in the XML data structure.
You need to enter two rules - the source and destination path of nodes - using special characters as follows:
- Enter a 4-character prefix for the source path using the #xx# format, where xx refers to the report section number. Each node in the path is separated with a slash character (/), and each table node must have an asterisk (*) prefix. The path must always be closed with a slash character. For example, if the source data is in table 1, field 2, and the data is needed for section 2, you enter the source path as follows: #02#*table1/field2/
- In the destination path, each node is separated with a slash character (/), and each table node must have an asterisk (*) prefix. The path must always be closed with a slash character. For example, if the destination is table 1, field 2 in the XML data structure, you enter the destination path as follows: *table1/field2/
