Use

In the Customizing activities of the Report Identification and Versioning section, you make settings to identify a report as follows:

  • You create report groups to group the reports that belong to each other from a certain point of view in the Customizing activity Create Report Groups.

    Note:

    You must also enter all the report groups that you want to use in the reporting framework in the Customizing activity Enable/Disable Report Groups and set them to Enable.

  • You create reports, which you assign to a report group in the Customizing activity Create Report IDs.

    You can assign several report IDs to a report group.

  • You create versions for a report ID in the Customizing activity Create Report Versions.

    You can assign several report versions to a report ID.

You can specify which database tables the system must use to collect header data and data on report sections and lines at three levels:

  • At report group level

    If you specify table names only at this level, the system collects the relevant data from the tables for each report that belongs to the given report group.

  • At report ID level

    If you specify table names at this level, the system collects the relevant data from the tables for the given report, even if you defined different tables at report group level.

  • At report version level

    If you specify table names at this level, the system collects the relevant data from the tables for the given report version, even if you defined different tables at report group and/or report ID level.
