Use
To define a search scenario, you must define at least one search template type, one hit list, and one detail screen.
In this process step you define the structure of the search templates. You specify the search templates that are offered to users in Expert Finder and assign expert profile elements or expert profile element groups to the search templates.
Activities
Complete the activities in the specified order.
- Call the activity Define Search Templates and select New Entries.
- In the Search Template field, enter a name and a label for the search template you want to create.
In the Description field, you can enter a text that is displayed as an additional descriptive text in the search template. - Call the activity Assign Expert Profile Elements to Search Template Type.
- In the Specify Work Area dialog box, choose the required search template type from input help.
- Assign the relevant expert profile element group and the expert profile elements to the search template type in the desired order.
The Position column enables you to control the order in which groups or elements are displayed in the search template.
Notes for Search
When searching using expert profile element groups, users only need to enter one field that is offered for the search. The system searches all expert profiles that are assigned to the expert profile element group.
